Where to Drink Cocktails in L.A.

The Churchill

The City of Angels has far more to offer than studio tours and celebrity sightings. With an ever-growing craft cocktail scene, L.A. has no shortage of spots to sample delicious, creative libations. You may even rub elbows with a few stars. Here are three of our favorite spots for cocktails in L.A

The Churchill. This chic, industrial gastropub has been packed since it opened, with pretty young things crowding in for bottomless brunches and boistrous, flavor-filled dinner. Even better? Their excellent cocktail list, which riffs on classic concoctions and makes great use of all kinds of whisk(e)y. Try 24 1/2 Century, a blend of scotch, Punt E Mes, and cacao.

Honeycut. Like options? Then get yourself to Honeycut, a downtown hotspot with a selection 50+ cocktails. These are cocktails with serious cred, too; Honeycut’s founders are behind The Varnish and Las Perlas, and collaborated with New York’s Death & Co. team. Bonus: the bar has an actual disco dance floor that’s in active use Tuesdays through Saturdays.

Library Bar. The bartenders at this stunner of a cocktail bar don’t just create delicious drinks, they create drinks perfectly tailored to your tastes and mood. Specify a spirit and flavor profile of choice, or simply give them free reign, and you’ll be presented with delicious, customized drink. Located in the ever-chic Roosevelt Hotel, Library Bar’s “omakase” approach to cocktailing will make you a regular before too long.
