Tips and Resources

Four of the Best Resources to Help Event Professionals Have a Successful 2020

When we surveyed event professionals in 2019, they told us that the top five resources they need to make the event planning process more seamless are time, digital tools, budget, more staff, and training.

While we can’t help you with an increased budget or more staff, Tripleseat has a long list of resources that can give you more time, access to tools, and training. Take advantage of these four resources in 2020 to help you create successful events and boost your career:

1. EventCamp

The EventCamp conference is the only conference of its kind to bring together industry leaders and subject matter experts to share best practices and insider tips to elevate the work and careers of event professionals. This year we’re offering two EventCamp locations: Las Vegas and New York City.

EventCamp sessions this year will cover event sales, innovation, trends, marketing, and more. The conference allows plenty of time for networking with other event professionals from across the country. You’ll also get a bird’s eye view and extra time with attendees and speakers at our afterparties at Beer Park in Las Vegas and B on Top in New York City.

The early bird ticket rate for EventCamp is available until March 3 for Las Vegas and March 17 for New York City, so register now to get the best price!

2. Tripleseat University

EventCamp happens once a year, but Tripleseat University training is available every day! We designed our Tripleseat University program as a way to educate customers on everything they need to know about Tripleseat.

You can take the Tripleseat University courses — and earn a TSU diploma — by registering on the Tripleseat University website. There are three different tracks designed to take you from a beginner to an advanced administrator.

Want more training? Check out Tripleseat University videos on our YouTube channel.

Tripleseat University also offers live training sessions. Register for webinars and in-person TSU On The Road sessions at a city near you via our events calendar.

TSU is coming to EventCamp — register now for our training days, held the day after each EventCamp conference — Wednesday, April 15 in Las Vegas and Wednesday, April 29 in New York City.

3. Events Industry Handbooks

Tripleseat created the Events Industry Handbook Series to help you advance your career and push the hospitality events industry forward. Visit our Events Industry Handbook page to download more than a dozen guides on topics like event planning, hospitality technology, holidays, trends, marketing, careers, and more.

4. Seated

Seated is a unique magazine that focuses on providing event managers in restaurants, hotels, and unique venues with the top trends, tips, and best practices for the event business. Our most recent issue included articles on midcentury contemporary venues, career advancement advice, a look at hotel spaces, profiles of customers like Monday Night Brewing and The Betsy Hotel, and so much more. Check out the digital version and back issues of the magazine on our Seated page.
