Client of the Week : Manny’s Steakhouse

Last week we featured Grill 23 & Bar as a part of our ‘coveted’ Client of the Week segment.  This week we continue the segment with another feature on another Midwest restaurant powerhouse, Manny’s Steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Who They Are :

Manny’s is one of the country’s top-rated steakhouses. They serve USDA-certified, dry-aged, center-cut beef, hand trimmed by master butchers. Owned and operated by Parasole, Manny’s was the Minneapolis Startribune’s 2008 restaurant of the year, having this to say about the steakhouse:

“On several levels—the outlandish prices, the unapologetically over-the-top portions—Manny’s Steakhouse is a perfectly ridiculous restaurant. No other restaurant can touch Manny’s magnetic ability to draw every fat cat—and fat-cat wannabe—within a 50-mile radius, a minor miracle for a restaurant that debuted during the Reagan administration.  Perhaps that popularity is due to curiosity-seekers, coming to kick the tires of the surprisingly chic dining room and the red-checkered tablecloth hideway that is the bar. Manny’s Steakhouse is the toughest reservation in town.”

Manny’s certainly isn’t a place to go sink into a nice salad. They have salads sure and really good ones at that. But if you’re a steak connoisseur and looking for a place that can deliver a meal that can satisfy your passion and excitement in these areas, then look no further than Manny’s Steakhouse.

What They Offer :

Steak. Lobster. Done Large. Thats the motto at Manny’s Steakhouse. Pretty simple, but certainly done effectively. Not only are their main courses phenomenal, but they have an awesome lineup of side dishes and appetizers as well:

“Side dishes and appetizers easily accommodate two or more.  Hashbrowns serve up to five people, and for dessert the whiskey bread pudding, freshly doused with Maker’s Mark, fills a 25-ounce goblet.  Our hot fudge and caramel-covered macadamia nut brownie a la mode will satisfy at least 4 to 6 people.” [via]

Manny’s also has an extensive wine selection including a 300-bottle regular list as well as an extensive reserve list with deeper vintages. Along with many other things at Manny’s, private dining is simply done better:

“There’s nothing like a private dinner or group event at Manny’s. In addition to the quality and service that have made us one of the country’s top-rated steakhouses, you and your guests will enjoy the space and flexibility you need to tailor the ideal event. We offer two dining rooms, one accommodating 20-25 people and the other ideal for groups of up to 15 people. You can give your guests the run of our regular menu or the convenience of a set one. And both are available for breakfast, lunch or dinner.”
