10 Questions With Monday Night Brewing Garage
The warm southern weather in Atlanta is always welcoming to gatherings of friends, private events, or special occasions. If you love celebrating these occasions with a refreshing beer in your hand, then Monday Night Brewing Garage is the perfect place for your next function.
Located in Southwest Atlanta, Monday Night’s Garage holds an enormous private event space, a taproom to enjoy happy hour beverages, three bars, an indoor BBQ food truck, and children’s games if the whole family wants to visit.
Like the furniture and decor found within Monday Night Brewing Garage, its story is a unique one. The company was founded by its three owners, Jonathan Baker, Jeff Heck, and Joel Iverson, who attended a small Atlanta Bible study together while working their white-collar jobs. As a hobby, the guys would hang out and brew beer together on Monday nights as a way to get to know each other better. These Monday nights turned into gatherings among friends, family, and neighbors, all coming to spend time together over a common interest. Through this simple social ritual, the guys fell in love with brewing beer and the sense of community that came along with it, hence bringing the idea of starting their own brewery.
The first location of Monday Night Brewing in West Midtown Atlanta was established in 2013, and then after seeing much success, the Garage came to be in 2017. The founders put their dream to reality and started living by their lifestyle of “loosening your necktie” and doing something you love as your day job. Necktie decor can be found around both venues, symbolizing the evolution from their white-collar jobs and embracing the lifestyle they wanted. The company truly operates by its motto that “weekends are overrated” because life should be celebrated every night of the week.
Monday Night Brewing values deepening human relationships over the best beer in the country. Those in the Atlanta area should make a visit to either Monday Night location in order to enjoy all that the company has to offer. We recently hosted a customer event at the Monday Night Brewing Garage, and took a full tour of the space with Shakia Hollis, Director of Private Events & Community Engagement, on Facebook Live. Hollis answered questions about the venue, her career, the events industry, and using Tripleseat’s event management software. Check out the full interview below:
