Tripleseat @ SXSW

The Tripleseat technical team just returned home from a handful of days in lovely Austin, Texas for the South by Southwest Interactive Festival. We’ve been down there several times before, but this time was especially fun with the entire Silicon Prairie News and the Omaha Tripleseat teams down there together. Not only was it a good time, but we met a ton of really interesting people, both in the restaurant and tech industries. Especially fun this year, because we went we were able to tell people about Tripleseat, thanks to our brand new shiny t-shirts.

Below are some photos I took with Instagram, showcasing some of the exciting points of the 5 day conference. Note: I was indeed there, even though I’m not in any of the pictures 🙂

We attended a great talk titled Dining Out in the Digital Age , where Brian Canlis of Canlis Restaurant in Seattle moderated a panel of experts from Groupon, Urbanspoon and Facebook talking about restaurants’ use of technology and social media.

On Sunday night, our friends at Silicon Prairie News hosted a party at the always-awesome Lanai.

Naturally, we consumed a LOT of BBQ, including the delicious Stubb’s BBQ (which also hosts private events).

Finally, we closed out SXSW with a fairly epic VIP party – a Yeasayer concert at the brand new Austin City Limits.

All in all, a great SXSW event for the four of us who ventured down there. Met great people, had some fun, ate some street food and even learned a little too 🙂 Can’t wait to head back down to Austin next year!
